Minimally Invasive Thymoma

**Definition:** A thymoma that focally infiltrates the surrounding capsule and invades the mediastinal fat. This type of thymoma is usually recognized only after microscopic examination. Grossly, it appears indistinguishable from encapsulated thymoma.
