Cutaneous Amelanotic Melanoma

**Definition:** A rare cutaneous melanoma where most of the melanoma tumor cells are devoid of melanin pigment. Amelanotic melanomas are more likely to present at a more advanced stage of disease, compared with pigmented melanomas.
