**Definition:** Human YARS1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 1p35.1 and is approximately 43 kb in length. This allele, which encodes tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase protein, cytoplasmic, is involved in the aminoacylation of tRNA to yield tyrosyl-tRNA and, during apoptosis, plays a cytokine-like role in intercellular communication.
