NRAS wt Allele

**Definition:** Human NRAS wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 1p13.2 and is approximately 53 kb in length. This allele, which encodes GTPase NRas protein, may be involved in cellular growth modulation. Mutations in the gene are frequent in juvenile and acute myelomonocytic leukemias.
