German Wirehaired Pointer

**Definition:** A dog with a coarse, wiry, weather-resistant coat with a thick undercoat. The coat is basically water-repellent and protects it from brambles. The beard, forehead hair, and whiskers protect the face. The color is liver and white, spotted, roan, or ticked. The pendent ears hang down limply beside the head. The average height range is 22-26 inches and the average weight range is 60-70 pounds.
