Chesapeake Bay Retriever

**Definition:** A powerful, muscular retriever with a slightly wavy, rather short coat. Both the outer coat and dense wooly undercoat are oily for water-repellence. The coat may be a shade of brown, red, or tan, ranging from a dead-grass-straw color to a deep dark brown with red overtones. The average height range is 21-26 inches and the average weight range is 55-80 pounds.
