Basenji

**Definition:** A small, elegant, athletic hound about the size of a fox terrier, with a smooth shiny coat of copper, red, black and tan, or black and brindle. The Basenji does not bark, but makes a sound described as something between a chortle and a yodel, as well as many other vocalizations. The average height range is 15-17 inches and the average weight range is 20-26 pounds.
