**Definition:** Lip cancer with tumor invading through cortical bone, inferior alveolar nerve, floor of mouth or skin of face (i.e. chin or nose). Superficial erosion of bone or tooth socket by a gingival primary tumor is not sufficient to classify as T4. (from AJCC 6th Ed.)
