Flomoxef

**Definition:** A cephamycin antibiotic with a difluoromethylthio-acetamido group at the 7-beta position of the cephem nucleus, commonly used for postoperative prophylaxis. Flomoxef has activity against epidermides, streptococci, propionibacteria, and both methicillin-resistant and -susceptible Staphylococcus aureus.
