Eniclobrate

**Definition:** A diphenylmethane derivative with hypocholesterolemic properties. Eniclobrate increases the activity of cholesterol-7 alpha hydroxylase and lowers serum and liver cholesterol levels, but raises liver triglyceride levels. It also reduces the percentage of esterified cholesterol present in the serum.
