Hypomania

**Semantic type:** Mental or Behavioral Dysfunction

**Definition:** A less severe form of mania characterized by elevated mood, hyperactivity, and grandiosity. In contrast to mania, these symptoms do not cause significant impairment of the individual's productivity at work, or social and family relationships.
