Granular Renal Cell Carcinoma

**Definition:** A renal cell carcinoma with eosinophilic cytoplasm and high nuclear grade. Granular cells can be seen in any subtype of renal cell carcinoma, including conventional clear cell carcinoma. This term does not represent a specific subtype of renal cell carcinoma and should no longer be used.
