Thymus Lymphoepithelial Carcinoma

**Definition:** A rare, usually aggressive primary thymus carcinoma characterized by a syncytial growth of undifferentiated carcinoma cells and the presence of a lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate. More than 40% of cases are associated with Epstein-Barr virus infection.
