Estriol

**Definition:** A synthetic form of the endogenous human estriol, a weak oestrogen and natural metabolite of estradiol, that can be used for hormone replacement. Upon administration, estriol maintains adequate levels of estrogen, binds to estrogen receptors, and relieves symptoms caused by estrogen deficiency.
