Acidovorax delafieldii

**Definition:** A species of aerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This bacteria is motile by a single polar flagellum, oxidase positive, chemoorganotrophic, is resistant to penicillin and can grow in D fucose culture. A. delafieldii is normally found in soil.
