Comamonas terrigena

**Definition:** A species of aerobic, Gram negative, rod and cocci shaped bacterium assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile by polar, lophotrichous flagella, catalase-peroxidase, catalase and oxidase positive, degrades phenol and reduces nitrate. C. terrigena is found in soil and rarely found to be pathogenic in humans.
