Streptobacillus moniliformis

**Semantic type:** Bacterium

**Definition:** A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacteria in the phylum Fusobacteria. This species is catalase, oxidase, urease, and citrate negative and does not produce indole or reduce nitrate. S. moniliformis is found in rats and is a causative agent of rat bite fever in humans.
