**Definition:** A finding about one or more characteristics of lung cancer, following the rules of the TNM AJCC v7 classification system. This classification is used for both non-small cell and small cell lung carcinomas and for carcinoid tumors of the lung. Sarcomas and other rare tumors of the lung are not included.
