**Definition:** A pathologic finding about one or more characteristics of appendiceal carcinoid, following the rules of the TNM AJCC v7 classification system. Appendiceal carcinoids are usually staged after laparoscopic or open surgical exploration of the abdomen (often for appendicitis) and pathologic examination of the resected specimen.
