Sinclair Minipig

**Definition:** A strain of pig developed by the Hormel Institute at the University of Minnesota in 1949, acquired by the University of Missouri in 1965 and now exclusively bred at the Sinclair Research Center. This strain of pig grows to be no larger than 70 kg and exhibits multiple coat colors and patterns. The Sinclair minipig is used in biomedical research for a variety of applications.
