Triple Screen

**Semantic type:** Diagnostic Procedure

**Definition:** A screening method in which maternal blood levels of alpha-fetoprotein, unconjugated estriol and human chorionic gonadotrophin are calculated. The results are subsequently evaluated in relation to the mother's age, weight and fetal gestational age.
