Anger Camera

**Definition:** The original gamma camera invented by H. O. Anger in 1957 and its subsequent generations. This original camera consisted of one large crystal in which gamma rays were converted to scintillations of light. Then, a limited number of detectors viewed these through a collimator to provide an image.
