Gastric Intramucosal Adenocarcinoma

**Definition:** A neoplasm that arises from the gastric glandular epithelium and invades the lamina propria but not the submucosa. There is marked glandular crowding, branching and budding, intraluminal necrosis, and prominent mitotic activity. Desmoplastic changes may be present or absent.
