ZFYVE19 wt Allele

**Definition:** Human ZFYVE19 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 15q15.1 and is approximately 8 kb in length. This allele, which encodes abscission/nocut checkpoint regulator protein, may play a role in the response to DNA damage and in the regulation of cytokinesis. Mutation of the gene is associated with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis 9 and a cytogenetic abnormality involving this gene and the KMT2A gene, translocation t(11;15)(q23;q14), is associated with acute myeloblastic leukemia.
