Fetal Hydantoin Syndrome

**Definition:** A teratogenic disorder observed in a newborn or child of a mother who was exposed to phenytoin during pregnancy. Manifestations include dysmorphic craniofacial features, hypoplastic distal phalanges and nails, growth delay and delayed psychomotor development.
