TCF3/HLF Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene (~4.4 kb) that results from a chromosomal translocation t(17;19)(q22;p13) which fuses intron 13 of the TCF3 gene with intron 3 of the HLF gene. This rearrangement is associated with childhood pre-B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
