KMT2A/MLLT3 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(9;11)(p22;q23) which fuses the 5' half of the KMT2A gene to the 3' end of the MLLT3 gene. This rearrangement is associated with acute lymphocytic leukemia and other leukemia types.
