MLL/FNBP1 Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene that results from a chromosomal translocation t(9;11)(q34;q23) which fuses exon 7 of the MLL gene to most of the FNBP1 gene. This rearrangement is associated with acute myelogeneous leukemia.
