TPR/MET Fusion Gene

**Definition:** A fusion gene (~2.0 kb) that results from a chromosomal rearrangement involving chromosomes 1 and 7 that fuses the 5' portion of the TPR gene to the 3' portion of the MET gene. This fusion gene is associated with gastric carcinoma and other cancers.
