PACS 81 groups the study of solid-state and condensed-matter materials, encompassing their synthesis, structure, properties, processing techniques and performance. It includes research on metals, ceramics, polymers, nanomaterials and composites, as well as the characterization methods used to understand and optimize material behavior.
