Rheology

Code 83 in the PACS 2010 scheme covers rheology, the study of how materials flow and deform under applied stresses. It includes theoretical and experimental investigations of viscosity, elasticity, plasticity and the behavior of liquids, soft solids and complex fluids, such as non-Newtonian and shear-thickening or shear-thinning systems.
