Mining of Metal Ores

Code 07 covers establishments that extract metallic ores-such as iron, copper, lead, zinc, aluminium and nickel-from the earth, including primary mining and ore-dressing activities. It excludes non-metallic mineral extraction and downstream processing like smelting, and is used in the EU PRODCOM survey to monitor industrial production in the metal-mining sector.
