Sec 101 - Definitions (Disability, Qualified Individual)
Section 101 of the Americans with Disabilities Act defines "disability" as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, a record of such impairment, or being regarded as having it, and defines a "qualified individual" as a person with a disability who meets job standards and can perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. This section establishes the core terms used throughout the ADA.
