Article 14bis - Special Provisions for Cinematographic Works
Article 14bis of the Berne Convention provides special protection for cinematographic works, extending the general rights of authors to include the right to claim authorship and to object to any distortion, mutilation or other modification that would prejudice the author's reputation. It obliges member states to grant these rights to cinematographers and to ensure that they can enforce them against any unauthorized exploitation of the film. The provision also allows for the recognition of co-authors in collaborative productions.
