Article 7 - Term of Protection

Article 7 of the Berne Convention establishes the minimum term of protection for literary and artistic works, requiring each member state to protect a work for the life of its author plus at least fifty years after the author's death, with analogous periods for works of joint authorship and post-humous publications. The article also allows for longer terms, provided they do not fall below this baseline.
