The authorised CBAM declarant is an entity or individual approved by the European Union to submit Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism declarations for imported goods, confirming that the required emissions data and compliance documentation have been provided. This status enables the holder to act on behalf of importers in meeting the EU's reporting, verification and payment obligations under the CBAM scheme.
