CBAM Certificates

CBAM certificates are trade documents issued under the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (Regulation 2023/956) that represent one tonne of CO2-equivalent emissions embedded in imported goods. Importers must acquire and surrender the appropriate number of certificates to cover the reported emissions, and the certificates are tradable within the EU market.
