Right to Correct (1798.106)
The Right to Correct (1798.106) lets California consumers request that a business correct inaccurate personal information it maintains about them. Upon a verifiable request, the business must correct the data or provide a means for the consumer to do so, responding within 45 days and noting any limitations on correction. This right is part of the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and its amendment, the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020.
