Remedial Investigation / Feasibility Study (RI/FS)

The RI/FS is a systematic process required under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act to assess the nature and extent of contamination at a site and evaluate potential remedial options. It combines data collection, risk analysis, and feasibility screening to inform the selection of an appropriate cleanup strategy. This phase forms the technical foundation for a Record of Decision or other remedial actions.
