Sec 312 - Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory (EPCRA)

Section 312 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, part of EPCRA, requires facilities that store or use hazardous chemicals above threshold quantities to compile and submit annual emergency and hazardous chemical inventory reports, enabling state and local emergency planners to assess and respond to potential chemical releases. The reports must include chemical identities, quantities, and locations to support community right-to-know and emergency planning initiatives.
