Schedule III - Moderate Abuse Potential

Schedule III substances are those with a moderate potential for abuse, lower than Schedule I or II, and recognized medical use in the United States. They may lead to limited physical or psychological dependence, and include certain anabolic steroids, moderate-strength barbiturates, and some opioid formulations such as buprenorphine.
