Compliance Function (Art 28)

The compliance function mandated by Article 28 of the EU Digital Markets Act requires designated gatekeepers to set up an internal unit that monitors, assesses and ensures adherence to the DMA's obligations, reports breaches to the Commission and coordinates remedial actions. This unit must be independent, adequately resourced and have direct access to senior management.
