Chapter I - General Provisions

Chapter I of the Digital Services Act (EU 2022/2065) establishes the basic framework for the regulation, defining the scope of "digital services" and key terms such as "intermediary" and "very large platform". It outlines the general obligations of providers, including transparency, cooperation with authorities and the principle of proportionality, and sets out the procedural rules for the Commission's oversight of the Act.
