Core Indicators

The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) defines Core Indicators as the mandatory environmental performance metrics that organisations must measure, monitor and report under the regulation. These indicators cover key areas such as energy and water consumption, greenhouse-gas emissions, waste generation, biodiversity impact and compliance with legal environmental requirements, providing a standardized basis for assessing and improving overall environmental performance.
