Art 9 - Location data other than traffic data

Article 9 of the 2002/58/EC Directive sets rules for the processing of location data that is not traffic-related, requiring that such data be obtained only with the user's informed consent and used solely for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a specific legal exception applies. It also mandates safeguards for storage, security and the right of individuals to access, rectify or delete their location information.
