Art 53 - Obligations for providers of GPAI models

Article 53 defines the duties that providers of generative pre-trained AI (GPAI) models must meet under the EU AI Regulation. It obliges them to ensure safety, transparency and accountability by maintaining comprehensive documentation, conducting risk assessments, implementing post-market monitoring and complying with any required conformity-assessment procedures.
