Chapter VIII - Interoperability

Chapter VIII of the EU Data Act (2023/2854) sets out the rules governing interoperability of data, requiring the development and use of common technical standards and interfaces to enable seamless data exchange between businesses and public sector bodies. It obliges data holders and intermediaries to provide access under fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory conditions, supporting a competitive digital market.
