Country Benchmarking System

The Country Benchmarking System is the EU's tool for measuring and comparing how third-country governments meet the deforestation-free requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115. It assigns scores based on criteria such as forest governance, commodity traceability and compliance monitoring, enabling the European Commission to identify high-risk producers and guide trade decisions.
