ASU 2020-05 - Leases: Effective Date Extension

ASU 2020-05 postpones the effective date for the new lease-accounting standards under Topic 842, moving the start date for public-company filers to December 15 2021 and for private-company filers to December 15 2022, giving entities additional time to implement the required changes to lease classification, measurement and disclosure.
