Sec 604(b) - Use by Employers

Section 604(b) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act sets the rules for employers who obtain consumer reports for employment decisions. It requires a legitimate, written purpose, that the employer certify the report will be used only for a permissible employment-related reason, and that they notify the applicant of any adverse action based on the report.
